There are currently no Generations classes.
We are missing our wonderful grandfriends, and look forward to our Generations program returning some day!
We're very excited to offer Music Together Generations.
'Generations' classes are regular Mixed Age Family Classes, but held in senior residences and assisted living facilities. In these classes, people of all ages come together to sing, dance, shake shakers, and swing scarves during this weekly intergenerational class.
As the children’s music-learning is nurtured, babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and their grownups also foster new and important relationships with "Musical Grandfriends." These unique and powerful classes are also greatly enjoyed by the seniors and staff. Seniors look forward to the children's lively visits, the chance to share memories, and the sheer fun of these playful music-making experiences. The additional cognitive, physical, and emotional benefits for both children and elders make the Generations class a win-win for all participants.
We are sadly not currently offering Generations class, but we hope to return post-covid.

"The part I love most is having class with our grandfriends. I have a special place in my heart for elders and I'm so happy to instill the same love into Clay. He was scared to say hello or goodbye to the grandfriends every week, but this last one he walked around the circle and shook every persons hand. I was overjoyed. I've seen Clay open up so much over the past weeks in your class. And at home he references music class often. I'm glad we're a part of this and look forward to summer and fall sessions."
