Schedule for Singalong Story and Lullaby Time:

Wednesday, January 13: All about horses! We’ll sing “Trot Old Joe” then read the very silly book “Are you a Horse?” by Andy Rash. This one has a fun surprise ending- great toddler/preschooler humor! Then we’ll sing the lullaby “All the Pretty Little Horses.”

Wednesday, January 20: Snow… We’ll chant the “Snowflakes” chant, then read a cute counting book called “Ten Sparkly Snowflakes” by Tiger Tales. This book is written in rhyme, (and we’ll occasionally interject our Snowflakes chant while we read). Good for our little ones here in CA who don’t see snow unless we travel to see it! Followed by Reindeer Lullaby.

Wednesday, January 27: All about stars! We’ll sing the song “Great Big Stars,” then read a really cute bedtime counting book called Ten Little Night Stars” (it’s all in rhyme). Followed by the lullaby “By ‘n’ By,” when we’ll “count” more stars!

Wednesday, February 3: All about boats! We’ll sing Lukey’s Boat, then read two short storybooks: “Busy Boats” by Tony Mitton, and “If I had a Little Boat” by Calee M. Lee. Followed up by the beautiful lullaby “The Water is Wide.”

Wednesday, February 10:  Music Together Singalong Storybook of “Mr. Rabbit.” We’ll let our little souls “shine, shine, shine” while we read/sing about the tricky rabbit and the farmer. Followed by a lullaby TBD.

Wednesday, February 17: A bilingual evening… We’ll sing the song “De Colores,”and read the beautifully illustrated book “De Colores: Bright with Colors” by David Diaz. Followed by the lullaby “Arorró mi Niño.”

Wednesday, February 24: Around the World… We’ll sing the Bells of Westminster, then read a beautiful book called “Somewhere a Bell is Ringing” by Barbara Nye. This is a gorgeously illustrated book, that takes us all around the world where many things are happening. It is super sweet. Followed up by Frère Jacques as a lullaby.

Wednesday, March 1: Kitties! For our final story time we’ll read two short books and sing “Two Little Kitty Cats.” Starting with the story “Kitty Cat, Kitty Cat, Are You Waking Up?” we’ll see Mama cat try to get her little kitten ready for school. Then we’ll sing the song, followed by a storybook called “Cat Nap.” In this one, the kitten keeps wanting to play with the tired big cat. Cute and silly. Followed by Ginger’s lullaby, “Close Your Eyes.”
