Beloved Music Together recording artist "Uncle Gerry" Dignan
Uncle Gerry is returning to Santa Rosa!
To kick off our 25th Anniversary celebrations, Gerry Dignan, known as "Uncle Gerry" on our Music Together recordings, is returning to Santa Rosa to perform a Benefit Concert to help us raise money for the Sonoma County YWCA.
Not only does Gerry sing for Music Together, but he also performs internationally, has recorded with the late David Darling, (Grammy-nominated cellist) and has contributed to the work of Music for People (David Darling, co-founder), an organization dedicated to self-expression through improvisational music. He was also a member of the Chicago Symphony Chorus and performed at the Concerthalle in Berlin, Germany, as well as in New York at Carnegie Hall. He has worked extensively at seminars, conferences and retreats, providing musical experiences internationally in song and dance, facilitating personal growth and strengthening community life.
Gerry, who hails from Chicago, has previously performed four in-person concerts here in Sonoma County since 2014, and two virtual concerts for us during the pandemic lockdowns. These events are a lot of family fun! Whether you have taken a Music Together class or not, enjoy this concert treat with your kids, and let Gerry lead us in song and movement for a great cause!*

All proceeds from our Uncle Gerry concert will be donated to the YWCA of Sonoma County in the name of "Santa Rosa Area Music Together Families."
We at SRAMT are choosing the YWCA because their vision is for every family in Sonoma County to live healthy, productive lives & be safe in their own homes. Their mission is to provide quality childcare & trauma-informed counseling along with support for families impacted by domestic violence.
YWCA Sonoma County operates 5 childcare centers which provide high-quality early childhood education and care to children ages 2-5. They also provide short and long term trauma-informed, client-centered therapy for children and adults. They truly exist to help children and families in our community in need of support.
